First Aid Classes run by doctors
Who are we?
A large network of doctors- primarily GPs and emergency care doctors with paediatricians and other speciality doctors volunteering their time to teach.
Who can learn first aid?
Anyone and Everyone! New parents, not so new parents, grandparents, friends, aunts, uncles, care givers, service providers, anyone who would like to be able to offer some assistance in the event of an emergency.
What is taught in these sessions?
Medibabies first aid courses are tailored to the needs of each group we teach. All our sessions cover basic life support. This is the emergency care (CPR and choking sequences) which is the 'lifesaving' aspect of first aid. Other topics discussed are tailored to suit the age range or requests of participants and current medical information and guidance is discussed and explained by a volunteer doctor.
What topics can we cover?
We can cover a range of topics and where possible
Anaphylaxis, burns, bleeding, sepsis, choking, cpr, risks around the home
